The Biochemistry program under the Faculty of Applied Science is a blend of biology and chemistry to provide students with the most comprehensive understanding of scientific processes. The four-year honors program is strategically designed to equip students with the fundamentals of science and experimental process in the scope of biochemistry. The curriculum is strategically designed to provide students with the most comprehensive understanding of related science disciplines such as biology, chemistry, mathematics and physics. As a research-oriented institution, we value the significance of reliable and sustainable instrumentation and facilities of biochemistry research, thus our state of art laboratories are equipped with effective instruments to study chemical reactions inside living organisms. Thus our industry-oriented academics prepare our students with the necessary practical and analytical skills for their future endeavours within the industry or in further studies. Our extensive and 360 degree teaching pedagogy in biochemistry shapes our students to pursue not only biochemistry centered jobs but also complementary careers like forensics, dietetics, medicine and also toxicology.
