Our financial aid programs are set In schemes which cater for the financial welfare of students, who meet the designated criteria for scholarship reception. We have on offer three categories of scholarships, cultural scholarships, sports scholarships and defence scholarships. The students who satisfy the basic requirements of these scholarships, with the necessary ethical academic standards and good conduct, can be granted this financial aid.

Cultural Scholarship

About

Our Cultural scholarships opens doors for next generation cultural prodigies who are passion driven and full of unique creative abilities. Through this scholarship, we have extended the requisite academic resources to such talented individuals. The scheme is designed to align students with the passion and ability to explore the scope of cultural fields ranging from dance, drama and music to painting, sculpture and literature. This scholarship scheme is eligible for students who have proved their mettle in above referred activities and are desirous of joining PU for pursuing their higher studies. The focus of this scheme is to promote cultural involvement and hone the innate skills of the students, while also providing an all-encompassing education to enable them to excel in the field of their choice. Students also need to reflect a high code of conduct, significant social involvement, and active participation.

Unique Features of the Scholarship Scheme

  • For those courses where the University determines the criteria of eligibility, the University has reserved 10% of the seats for the candidates who have excelled in co-curricular activities in their schooling/ + 2 programs.
  • Those students, who have represented their school/college up to their 12th standard in Cultural/ Literary Activities at the State/National/International Level Competitions and have won prizes (I,II or III only), may be admitted to the degree programs of their choice up to 10% over and above the intake capacity under the quota for excelling in co-curricular activities.

The Candidates who Fulfil the Requisite Eligibility Criteria and Wish to Avail Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme, Apart from Academic Credentials, Need to Submit the Following to the University:

  • Recommendation Letter and 1 minute What’s App Videos by the Mentoring Institute or Academy or Private Tutor or Gurus.
  • Documentary proofs showcasing Awards, Certificates won by students or Participation of students in activities/events.
  • Minimum 2 references of individuals who are associated with the applicant in the same co-curricular activity.
  • Students can apply with relevant testimonials at cultural.scholarships@paruluniversity.ac.in
  • These scholarships shall be applicable for Bachelor and Master courses offered under the faculties of Engineering, Hotel Management, Architecture, Management, IT & Computer Science, Applied Sciences, Social Work, Law, Fine Arts, Library Science, Commerce, Design and Arts.

Perks

  • The University shall offer scholarships in the form of tuition fee waiver to those students who participate and win awards (first prize, second prize, gold medal, silver medal etc...) at different levels as follows:
    1. At District Level -25% of the tuition fees
    2. At State Level- 50% of the tuition fees
    3. At Zonal Level-75% of the tuition fees
    4. At National/International Level- 100% of the Tuition fees
  • Competitions-
    Students will receive complete support from PU in accelerating their goals. Furthermore, the students shall be encouraged and groomed by the best mentors for the state and national level competitions.

Sports Scholarship

About

Numerous types of Scholarships have been introduced by the Parul University for inspiring meritorious students. The quantity of scholarship/fellowship and period of scholarship/fellowship is subject to change from time to time. Different full and partial sports scholarships, fellowship, stipends and fee relaxations available in Paul University for deserving applicants (players/athletes).

The following recommendations are suggested regarding the special privileges that may be given to the students seeking admission in the Parul University from 2022-2023.

International Participation Recognition by Olympic Games by IOC World Championships under International Sports Federations (104 and/or MYAS recognized/One Hol - Member affiliated Games).

Note

  • In order to prepare and form teams for participation in Khelo India University Games and AIU representing the Parul University, Vadodara, players may be given free food, boarding and lodging during the Training camp and examination period.
  • The benefit of scholarship will be given in selected game only for one certificate which will be the highest participation.
  • If a student is involved in any code of misconduct according to University/ respective federations, the scholarship benefit provided will be terminated.
  • Students availing hostel facility under sports scholarship must attend the classes when there are no training sessions held and shall mandatorily attend training sessions when such sessions are held.
  • Certificates produced for participation in games would be considered for last 4 years only.
  • Only those selected games/sports will be considered for the above mentioned incentives/schemes, which are in the list of g Indian Olympic Committee (IOC), Indian Olympic Association (IO), Association of Indian Universities (AIU), Khelo India University Games, School Nationals, MYAS (Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports).
  • These scholarships shall be applicable for Bachelor and Master Courses offered under the faculties of Commerce and Arts.
    However player with A+ and A Grade only may be considered for any professional course under faculties of Engineering, Science, Hotel Management, Architecture, Management, IT & Computer Science, Applied Sciences, Social Work, Law, Fine Arts, Library Science, Design and Arts subject to approval by the Statutory Authorities in the University. (Except Medical, Para Medical, Pharmacy, Nursing, Ayurveda, Homeopathy).
  • The student's participation in various events would be subject to the prior permission/approval.
  • Subject to available seats in the hostel, preferences will be given on merit basis.
  • Sports or Games wise seats may be fixed, so sports scholarship will be awarded subject to availability of seats in the particular Sport or Game in which student has applied for.
  • Candidates eligible as per the AIU (Association of Indian Universities) rules for the University National games will be eligible for the Sports Scholarship.
  • Khel-Mahakhumbh certificate will be considered in B Grade scholarship only.
  • Only last four years merit certificates/achievements is valid for availing the scholarship.
  • Candidates availing the scholarship on the basis of performance in Sports shall make himself/ herself available for such practices/ camps/ tournaments etc. as and when required by the University and he/ she shall not represent any institute/ association/ club etc. other than Parul University without obtaining the prior approval from the University.

Discontinuation of Scholarship/Fellowship and Incentive: -

  1. If student is not fulfilling AIU or Khelo India University Games eligibilities.
  2. Misbehavior or any other indiscipline will lead to Discontinuation of Scholarship/Fellowship and Incentive.
  3. If the student doesn't participate in Zone/All India Inter University due to any reason.
  4. 90% attendance in the training camps (Inside and outside the campus) is essential and mandatory.
  5. If a player tests positive in a doping test during any competition/trials, he/she will be terminated from the University.
  • Benefit of Scholarship is for the normal duration of the Course. However a student takes more than normal duration to pass the Course, he will not be entitled for these benefits for duration in excess of normal duration except student represented.
  • University in National/International Tournaments/ India camp during exam period.
  • The Department of Physical Education and Sports will act as a Nodal agency for the admission under sports quota scholarship, The Director, Physical Education and Sports along with the University Authority and Management will take the final decision.
  • If at any stage, it is found that an applicant has concealed, suppressed, distorted any information/fact(s) which would have rendered him ineligible for admission and/or ineligible for benefit of Scholarship or applicant has been admitted and/or Scholarship has been awarded by default by the University, then the admission and/or Scholarship will stand cancelled.
  • The PARUL University has right to terminate or withdrawal of the any sports scholarship and fellowship policy anytime. All policies are subject to change from time to time and without any formal and official notification.

Registration & Selection Process

Students can apply with relevant testimonials at https://admissions.paruluniversity.ac.in

  • Original certificates are required for verification.
  • After the decision by coaches looking at their certificates, athletes will be called for performance trials.

For At Grade all the Games recognized/affiliated by MYAS and/or IOA will be considered (subjected to availability of seats).

After trials if player is eligible, he will be again guided to the admission cell for further process. Admission will be done on trial basis, every year player has to renew scholarship by participating in various tournaments and keeping the graph high.

Final Selections will be made subject to completion of all documentation and availability of seats in Course and Sport/Game for which admission is sought by candidate, subject to Terms & Conditions applicable on the date of admission.

Defence Scholarship

About

Parul University (PU) is introducing a scholarship scheme for the students who have a defence forces background. Through this noble initiative we seek to honour the Defence Forces for their unparalled feats and sacrifices for our nation. Through this scheme our focus is to extend the requisite resources to the students, while also providing an all encompassing education to enable them to excel in the field of their choice. Also, amongst the many cells of PU, the Armed Forces Cell is the feather to our cap as it serves as a medium to support, train and motivate the interested students to join the defence forces. With all this and more, a generous scholarship like this is too great to dodge, so grab this opportunity at the earliest!

GUIDELINES FOR DEFENCE SCHOLARSHIP

  1. With a view to facilitate access of higher education, Parul University, Vadodara is providing the following scholarships to encourage our dedicated (Officers/Soldiers in the Defence Forces) and their dependents. The services that have been included are for the- Indian Army, Indian Navy, Indian Air Force and Indian Coast Guard.
  2. Scholarship Scheme for Serving Defence Personnel (those who are nominated through study leave) and Retired Defence Personnel.
    1. The scholarship listed below is for all regular Courses only.
    2. Categorization of recipients for eligibility relaxation and Scholarship for serving officers is given in table 1 below:
  3. Scholarship Scheme for Dependents of Defence personnel will be as given under in table2.

STUDENTS OF SERVING ARMY PERSONNEL

TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR SCHOLARSHIP:

  • Scholarship as stated above is subject to verification and authentication of the information, certificates and documents as required by the University.
  • In case, an applicant is eligible for Scholarship as stated above as well as other Scholarship / Financial aid /monetary benefit scheme or policy of Parul University then he / she has to opt for only one scheme of his/her choice.
  • Scholarship as stated above is offered at the time of admissions only and applicant has to apply for the same at the time of filling Application for Admissions or before the date prescribed by the University.
  •  Scholarship as mentioned above is applicable on Course fee as prescribed for a term/semester under the Course details in the Prospectus for the concerned year. The benefit of Scholarship will not be applicable in case of fee for various other requirements/facilities like Backlog/re-appear/examination fee etc. as mentioned under the head 'Other Fee' in General Admission Guidelines of the Prospectus.
  • Benefit of Scholarship is for the normal duration of the Course. However, if a student takes more than normal duration to pass the Course, he will not be entitled for these benefits for duration in excess of normal duration.
  •  If at any stage, it is found that an applicant has concealed, suppressed, distorted any information/fact(s) which would have rendered him ineligible for admission and/or ineligible for benefit of Scholarship or applicant has been admitted and/or Scholarship has been awarded by default by the University, then the admission and/or Scholarship will stand cancelled.
  •  In addition to other terms and conditions as prescribed from time to time, only those students will be eligible for Scholarship in subsequent terms/years:
    1. Against whom No Disciplinary action has been initiated or taken during their stay at Parul University.
    2. The above said Scholarships would be applicable on all the courses EXCEPT MBBS, BAMS, BHMS, BPT, B. Sc Nursing, B. Pharm, Pharm D, Ph. D, MD, MS, and MPT.
  •  The duly filled application form for admission by applicant should be submitted to the university by last date of admissions. However, it is advised that applications are submitted earlier to avoid missing this opportunity due to filling up of seats. Scholarships would be only applicable to first 50 students who come for admission under defence quota.
  • Final Selections will be made subject to completion of all documentation and availability of seats in Course for which admission is sought by candidate, subject to Terms & Conditions applicable on the date of admission.
  • Final decision regarding admissibility will be taken by the University and cannot be claimed as a matter of right by any eligible applicant.
  • The decision of the competent authority of the University shall be final and binding on all concerned.
  • Documents to be submitted by persons availing the scholarship under this scheme:
    1. For serving personnel: Bona fide certificate from the Commanding Officer of Unit currently posted to with seal.
    2.  For ex-servicemen: Pension Pay Order, Discharge Book and Copy of ID card.
    3.  For dependants of Defence personal: Dependant card issued from the Unit Posted or Zila Sainik board.
    4. Officers on study leave: Bona fide certificate from respective Directorate of education, Headquarters, Delhi.
