Parul University Launches India’s First Neurocognitive Research Center with “Dr. Vijay Bhatkar Global Research Center for Neurocognitive and Consciousness Studies” in the presence of Padma Bhushan Dr. Vijay Bhatkar

In a significant step that merges scientific research with spiritual insight, Parul University proudly inaugurated the Dr. Vijay Bhatkar Global Research Center for Neurocognitive and Consciousness Studies, through the hands of and under the guidance of Padma Bhushan Dr. Vijay Bhatkar, India’s leading computer scientist and the creator of the nation’s first supercomputer, PARAM. Dr. Bhatkar, known as the architect of India’s National Initiative in Supercomputing, recently graced the university campus for a conference divulging in the convergence of mindfulness, AI, and ethical laws in behavioural science.

As a highlight of his visit, Dr. Bhatkar agreed to serve as the Advisor for Research and Development at the Vadodara-based Parul University, marking a new era of scientific research and development of the university. His role will help shape important initiatives in areas like AI in healthcare, cognitive sciences, sustainable technology, and quantum computing.

The center aims to serve as a global hub for integrated research, effectively combining Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS), neuroscience, Vedic science, cognitive and consciousness studies, organizational intelligence, and spiritual philosophies for a broader scope of understanding of human behaviour and cognitive studies. A key focus area of the center will be Quantum Emotion, which explores the emotional and vibrational structure of consciousness, essentially linking neurobiology with vibrational science and holistic well-being.

Dr. Vijay Bhatkar, sharing his thoughts on the establishment of the center and on the new era of research in behavioural science, stated, “This is not just a research center but a sacred mission to bring up humanity to its higher potential through the convergence of science and spirituality.”

“The establishment of this centre represents a revolutionary step toward interdisciplinary innovation. The Center will redefine research frontiers and create a better and empathetic world by bridging the fields of AI, neuroscience, and cognitive science,” said Dr. Geetika Madan Patel, Vice President (Quality, Research, & Health Sciences) and Medical Director, Parul University, as the university ushers in a new era of research through this Center.

With the establishment of this center, Parul University reaffirms its dedication to research, thought leadership, and integrated learning on a worldwide scale with this effort. Moving forward with its purpose to create institutions that support social, scientific, and spiritual transformation, it seeks to create a space where mindfulness meets research and consciousness links with creativity.
