About Bachelor of Performing Arts (BPA) - Honors in Dance


The Bachelor Performing Arts is a 4 year program at the end of which is an additional optional year (4th) for internship and personal mentoring. This is a composite study inspired by the philosophy that there was 1 book for the Arts – Natyashastra and hence our course is a holistic understanding of the body which is expressed through the mediums of music, dance, drama. If you have a passion for the creative arts, then this program is perfect for you as it provides wholistic training to every student. The program has made been in such a way that provides a comprehensive manner of understanding which caters to the talent of artists from across multiple backgroundsc either Indian or International. The course has been designd in such a way that allows the students to explore the contemporary and traditional disciplines in music, dance and acting, physical theatre, music theatre, sound design, cinematic representation and many more. With a focus on creating performance, students will get to tailor their studies across numerous themes – contemporary, traditional, digital, applied arts and education. Students will be supported to develop themselves as innovative artists who are able to create, perform, manage themselves and others globally. Inorder to provide the students with much need practical learning experiene, the Faculty of Performing Arts has been equipped with  state of the art facilities which include in-door and out-door, design studios, music studio, amongst other enriching facilities. The University also goes on to conduct sessions with actors and actresses from the film industries whose experience shapes the students' practical understanding of the field of arts.
