PU’s Cultural Brilliance Shines as Students Clinch National Champions Title at the 38th AIU Inter-University National Youth Festival 2025

PU has always championed the holistic growth of its students, fostering a dynamic cultural ecosystem that nurtures talent beyond academics. This commitment to cultural excellence has once again borne fruit as the university’s students secured the prestigious title of National Champions at the 38th AIU Inter-University National Youth Festival, leaving an indelible mark on the national stage.

Demonstrating their artistic prowess, PU’s students dominated the competition by securing top positions across multiple categories, including Dance, Music, Theatre, Literature, Fine Arts, and the grand Cultural Procession. Their spectacular performances captivated audiences and judges alike, reaffirming the university’s legacy of excellence in the realm of arts and culture.

The university emerged as the overall champions with a gold medal in the Fine Arts category. Students secured first positions in several competitions such as On the Spot Painting, Collage, Poster Making, and Mehendi along with a silver medal in Cartooning and bronze medals in Clay Modeling, On the Spot Photography, and Installation. The university secured the runners up title in Music Category with gold medals in Western Vocal Solo, Group Song Western, and Folk Orchestra and a silver medal in Classical Instrument Solo.

In addition, the university emerged as the 1st runners up in Dance Category with a gold medal in folk dance and a bronze medal in Classical Dance. The students also secured gold medals in One Act Play and Mime in the Theatre category and bronze medals in Elocution and Debate in the Literature Category. The cultural procession, showcasing the cultural vibrancy of Gujarat and India, earned them a bronze medal.

Expressing pride in this extraordinary achievement, Dr. Manish Jhangra, Senior Director of Cultural Affairs Cell and Dean of the Faculty of Performing Arts, stated, “At PU, culture is not just an extracurricular activity - it is a celebration of expression, identity, and creativity. This victory is a testament to the dedication of our students and the unwavering support of our faculty in shaping well-rounded individuals.”
