About BA. (Honors) Political Science

Politics plays a role of great significance in the growth and development of nations and societies and in creating effective policies for the well-being and welfare of the people. Parul University’s Faculty of Arts offers a four-year honors degree program in Political Science which endeavors to impart within the students the in-depth knowledge and understanding regarding politics, leadership and governance. The current global scenario is characterised by an immense change in the political dynamics with liberalistic ideologies taking a place of vital importance in place of conservative philosophies. The curriculum is strategically designed to develop the analytical, logical and interpretive skills of the students so as to understand and relate to the modern and current political practices in the nation and the world at large. As a way of equipping students with effective skills and imparting the knowledge of navigating the various political leadership roles, the program instills within the student's effective leadership skills and abilities. As a way of promoting and developing the practical skills of the students, the Faculty of Arts promotes various extracurricular activities such as debate, public speaking and general knowledge quizzes amongst others which help in shaping the confidence and the essential leadership traits of the students. As a way of ensuring the effective learning of Political Science amongst the students, the faculty is equipped with an elite league of professors and experts who courteously nurture and guide the students in the path of political leadership in preparation of their future career.
