About BA. (Honors) Journalism and Modern Media


With the growth of the digital media and the various digital platforms, mass communication and journalism has taken a brawl of great significance in the social, economic and political lives of the people. Parul University’s Faculty of Liberal Arts, offers a three year bachelors degree program in JJournalism and Modern Media which endeavours to impart within the students the relevant knowledge and understanding regarding journalism. The program is strategically designed to develop the analytical, logical and interpretive skills of the students so as to understand and relate to the modern and current practices in the nation and the world at large. The Faculty of Arts centres on developing and nurturing the students in the mannerisms and ethics required for the journalism profession to ensure a transparent delivery of information. As a way of promoting and developing the practical skills of the students, the faculty is equipped with state of art facilities such as recording and interview platforms, news and journal publishing, and language labs. The program maintains a position of great significance as journalists play the pivotal role of conveying information and shaping the minds of the people within the society. The students receive guidance and training from an elite league of faculties and experts who nurture the students in the various industry based ways of journalism. Beyond the scope of the curriculum, the program goes on to shape the interpersonal and communication skills of the students in preparation of their career in journalism and mass communication.
