PU Hosts Exclusive Event with Femina Miss India 2024 Winners to Inspire Future Female Leaders

The buzz of anticipation filled the air as the top three winners of Femina Miss India 2024 prepared for their enlightening visit to Vadodara-based PU. The entourage included Nikita Porwal, crowned Femina Miss India World 2024, with Rekha Pandey, the 1st Runner-up, and Aayushi Dholakia, the 2nd Runner-up, to captivate students in an engaging and interactive session. They shared their inspiring journeys, valuable insights, and bold aspirations, igniting a spark of motivation and ambition in the hearts of all present.

The newly crowned Femina Miss India Madhya Pradesh 2024, Nikita Porwal has been a passionate performer, captivating audiences with her theater work, participating in over 60 plays and penning a 250-page play titled "Krishna Leela." With aspirations in cinematography, she is also dedicated to animal welfare, hoping to inspire kindness through her voice. She claimed that along with her mother, the city of Ujjain and the whole state has been her biggest motivator. She enlightened the audience by sharing her views on beauty, saying, “I think beauty is something that catches the face, but the brain stays with you always,” and her beliefs that one can be anything they want by quoting, “I believe if you dream something, don’t bring logic into it, just do it.” Stemming from her own motivation behind her journey, she gave inspirational advices to the students present in the audience.

The Femina Miss India Dadra and Nagar Haveli 2024 first-runner up, Rekha Pandey,is an artist driven by a desire to empower women in rural India. A talented dancer and sportswoman, her commitment to societal impact is evident in her multifaceted approach to the arts. She advised the young generation to get into the habitual practice of carrying themselves with confidence by quoting “If you practice this habit everyday, your beauty will shine through”.

Aayushi Dholakia, the Second-Runner Up of Femina Miss India Gujarat 2024, is a dynamic Media and Communications graduate, recognized for her historic win as the first Asian Miss Teen International. With a background in Kathak and a passion for women’s health and environmental conservation, she embodies resilience and positivity.

When asked about her journey to becoming a role model, she mentioned, “being a role model, the authenticity of it should come to yourself” and highlighted to the students the importance of taking the first step, encouraging them to be authentic. Drawing from her experience and journey, she said, “From school journey to college journey to becoming the 2nd Runner Up at the Femina Miss India 2024, I have never been shy from taking the first step.”

This interactive session, organized exclusively for female students, aimed to empower and inspire the next generation of women at PU. It emphasized the importance of self- confidence, resilience, and purpose-driven careers in today’s world. During their interaction with students they advised them to be themselves and accept the negative comments and ignore them while being at peace because they are going to be there, if they love the content, they should just be motivated on their social media. The interaction and event concluded with them endorsing students to embrace your failures and learn from them as they make us better. Students also actively participated in Q&A sessions, further deepening their understanding of the importance of pursuing their dreams with determination and resilience.

The finalists, who are not only celebrated for their grace and charm but also for their intelligence and advocacy, shared their journeys with the students, offering invaluable insights into their experiences as young women leaders. Dr. Devanshu Patel, President of PU, expressed his enthusiasm about the event: “We are honored to have hosted such empowering role models who have proven that success is not only about external achievements but also about personal growth, integrity, and making a positive impact on society. Their presence here today is an inspiration for all our students.”
