About BA. (Honors) Economics


BA. (Honors) Economics is a four-year highly specialized undergraduate program that provides students with an in-depth understanding of the best practical learning experience in Economics. The program aims at equipping students with the relevant specialization competencies required to actively contribute to the economy. This program has been uniquely designed to provide students with the fundamental knowledge of the field while equipping them with the most enriching exposure to some of the vital interdisciplinary aspects of commerce such as accounting, finance, banking and insurance. The program is strategically designed to develop the analytical logical and interpretive skills of the students so as to understand and relate to the modern and current business practices in the nation and the world at large. The Faculty of Arts centres on developing and nurturing the students in the mannerisms and ethics required for the business profession, to ensure a transparent navigation of the commercial field. The program maintains a position of great significance as economists play the pivotal role of navigating and shaping the minds of the people within the society. The students receive guidance and training from an elite league of faculties and experts who nurture the students in the various industry based ways of economics. Beyond the scope of the curriculum, the program goes on to shape the interpersonal and communication skills of the students in preparation of their career in economics.
