About Mechatronics Engineering

Modern machines in industry do not belong excusively to any one branch of engineering, as they are interdisciplinary in nature like Mechtronics engineering which is a combination of mechanical, electronics and communication and computer engineering, frequently using embedded systems. Basically, mechatronics engineering encompasses the study of mechanics and electronics to provide a comprehensive understanding of engineering. The Faculty of Engineering offers a 4 year Bachelors degree program in Mechatronics Engineering which explores the concurrent technologies in this field. As a way of ensuring the highest form of quality academics, the program is UGC approved and is centred on providing students with the most comprehensive understanding of all the significant elements of mechatronics engineering. The department is equipped with a number of instructional and research laboratories which provide students with quintessential practical exposure and these include Basic Workshop Lab, Hydraulic & Pneumatic Lab, Automation Lab and CNC machine Lab. With the department’s particular focus in research and innovation, the students are constantly engaged in experiential learning programs, which are designed to enhance the students scope of innovation. Upon completing this program, students will develop the ability to navigate and effectively execute the various industrial roles in mechatronics engineering.

Tech Expo

Tech Expo is one of Faculty of Engineering's major annual exhibition where the final year students get to exhibit their highly innovative projects. A total of 4,000 students took part in this year's tech expo exhibition where they were showcasing their robots and automated systems which were strategically designed to act as solutions for various socio-economic issues.

Gujcost Seminar on “Fundamentals of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology”

GUJCOST Sponsored One Day Seminar on “Fundamentals of Nanoscience & Nanotechnology”  was organized by Department of Mechatronics Engineering, Parul Institute Technology on 3rd November, 2018. It was organized with the aim to provide fundamental knowledge and practical aspects about Nanotechnology and its Applications. 40 participants from various institute were participated.

Switch Expo

The students and faculty members of Electronics and Communication engineering department visited switch expo 2016 at Vadodara. 48 Students of 7th semester and Faculty members (Prof. Priyanka shah, Prof. Bhumi Bhatt, Prof. Krunal Mishra, Prof. Sehul Thakkar) had accompanied to visit Switch Expo dated on 9th October 2016.

Global Grand Challenges Summit-2019

Faculty of Engineering & Technology, Parul University organized the Global Grand Challenges Summit (GGCS) event from 16-18 September 2019 on the UN Sustainable Goals. The students got the opportunity to work and research on areas related to understanding of the solutions required for the betterment of humanity.
