About Master of Hospital Administration (MHA)

Hospital Administration is an interdisciplinary field that brings together expertise from a range of disciplines which include medicine, social sciences, management, engineering and information technology to develop well trained health administrators. The Faculty of Public Health offers a two year post graduate degree program which is designed to develop health administrative experts with the practical expertise and skillsets which are essential to navigate the scope of the global healthcare. The emergence of Universal Healthcare as the need of the hour towards providing the essential health services to each and every individual in today's time has placed public health students on the vital role of bridging this gap. The program is aimed at imparting within the students effective management skills and practical healthcare knowledge which allows them to take up decision. Making roles in the field of healthcare. The program goes on to develop the expertise of students in related areas of community health which include disease characteristics, their prevention and control, management in crisis situations, forecast strategic disease prevention policies, quality assurance & regulatory affairs.
