Postural Awareness Seminar

On the occasion of world physiotherapy day, Parul institute of Physiotherapy had organized postural awareness session for professionals working with Parul University. The session was divided into three parts and each session was held by different speakers who discussed the queries of audience regarding posture. More than 50 faculties from the University took part in it.

Manual Osteopathic Approaches

Our resource person Dr. Michael Hutson (osteopath from Britain) was at PU to share his knowledge of manual osteopathic approaches with our students. It was a 3-day hands on workshop to enrich students' knowledge about the wide use of osteopathy in the field of physiotherapy.

Manual Therapy for the Vertebral Column and Pelvic Complex

In the modern era, manual therapy is one of the most widely used techniques in physiotherapy. The President of IAP Dr. Umashankar Mohanthy himself conducted a workshop to train the students on manual therapy of the vertebral column and the pelvic complex. It was a great session for the students as they learnt the modern era techniques of assessment, diagnosis and treatment of the patients using manual therapy.

Physiosummit 2019

Physio Summit 2019- A Global Physiotherapy Apex, was on the theme of FIT INDIA, organized on 6th and 7th December 2019 by the Faculty of Physiotherapy, Parul University which saw 1200 delegates from all over India. The national level two day conference had scientific sessions by physiotherapy experts from all over India and it saw more than 220 Research and Platform presentations by physiotherapy students across India. An evidence based seminar was presented on Role of Physiotherapy in Fitness.

Conphycs 2015

A state level physiotherapy conference was conducted in the month of October, 2015. Different pre conference workshops were also organized to enrich students with the new techniques in the field of physiotherapy. Renowned physiotherapists in the field of academics were present to share their knowledge in different specialties in the field of physiotherapy. 1600 students and physiotherapists from around the state gathered to make this event a great success.

Field visit to Bionic Rehabs

Parul Institute of Physiotherapy had recently arranged field trip for post graduate students at 'Bionic Rehabs Centre' at Vadodara. The centre is owned by Dr. Virendra Shandilya- one of the most renowned personalities in the field of rehabilitation, prosthetics and orthotics. He gave students an opportunity to visit his rehab center and workshop.
