About Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)

Ayurved is a significant form of alternative healthcare which harnesses the healing essence of nature to provide healthcare and medical solutions for the welfare of the society. Parul University’s Faculty of Ayurved offers a five year and five months bachelors degree program which seeks to impart within the students the vital fundamentals of Ayush medicine. The field is well established within the Indian subcontinent as it is rooted within the fabric of the nation’s traditional and cultural values, thus providing the students who pursue this program with a wide pool of opportunities to explore. The Faculty is equipped with state of the art facilities for research and development which seek to provide the students with a practical hands on exposure in the fields of Ayurved. The curriculum is a blend of both ancient and modern standards of healthcare which includes subjects such as the history of Ayurved, Padartha Vigyana, Sanskrit and Samhita as well as Rachna Sharira among other key fields. The University is equipped with a two fully bedded Ayush learning hospitals Khemdas Hospital and  Parul Ayurved Hospital which go on to provide the students with the much needed platform to practice and shape their hands on training skills. The program goes on to develop and nurture the student's interpersonal skills, thus allowing them to develop the competencies vital for their lucrative career prospects.
