Physical facilities for interdisciplinary research

Parul University has established a robust infrastructure to support interdisciplinary research, fostering collaboration, innovation, and knowledge-sharing across diverse fields. The Center for Multidisciplinary and Interdisciplinary Education (CMIE) serves as a central hub for interdisciplinary research discussions and collaboration. The university is equipped with state-of-the-art specialized laboratories and research centers, including the AI & Data Analytics Lab, Micro-Nano Research Development Cell (MNRDC), Fabrication Lab (FabLab) and the Simulation Lab – Pragya, providing cutting-edge resources for research in various domains.

To further enhance research capabilities, the university has invested over Rs. 5 Crore in the establishment of the Central Instrumentation Facility (CIF), which houses advanced analytical instruments such as Chromatography, GC-MS, FTIR, HPLC, HPTLC, SEM+EDS, XRD, and Atomic Force Microscopy. These facilities support multidisciplinary research by providing essential resources for the analysis and characterization of polymers, synthetic compounds, and materials. The Research and Development Cell (RDC) offers analytical services related to physical and chemical characterization, ensuring that researchers have access to high-quality instrumentation for impactful investigations.

Beyond laboratory resources, the university also promotes research-driven startups and innovation through dedicated incubation centers. Collaborative research spaces, virtual communication platforms such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Google Meet, and state-of-the-art conference rooms facilitate seamless interdisciplinary discussions and teamwork. These initiatives empower research teams with the necessary infrastructure to engage in high-impact, innovation-driven research that addresses complex global challenges. By fostering an ecosystem of advanced research facilities and collaborative spaces, Parul University ensures that interdisciplinary research remains a cornerstone of its academic and scientific advancements.
