About B.Sc. Forensic Science

The advancing scope of technology and innovation, has brought about a shift in the commission of crime and offences, thus resulting in high demand for forensic science experts. The Faculty of Applied Sciences runs a unique forensic science program, which involves core science subjects such as chemistry, biology, physics and genetics. The program deals with scientific investigations in specific crime scene related cases and various forms of evidentiary elements. The department is equipped with expert lecturers and resource persons who guide the students in the various aspects of research and experimentation. The continuous efforts of the department are towards providing students with an interdisciplinary understanding of forensic science by jointly organising curricular activities with the faculty of law. The curriculum imparts within the students advanced techniques in collecting, preserving and analyzing the various forms of evidence. Pursuing this program will get the students acquainted with both the academic and industrial settings. The program is also designed to develop within the students effective career competencies in the various sectors of the industry, to enhance their employability.

National Conference on role of Forensic Science in Crime Investigation and Administration of Justice

Parul Institute of Law and Department of Forensic Science, Parul Institute of Applied Sciences had organized a National Conference on Role of Forensic Science in Crime Investigation and Administration of Justice on 27th July, 2019. Oral and Poster presentation activity was organized for the students and faculties who were from various states of India and Nepal.

National Seminar on 'Recent Trends in Research and Development' was successfully organized by Faculty of Applied Sciences, Parul University in collaboration with the Microbiology Society of India wherein reputed subject experts Dr. Deshmukh, Dr. Wakte and Dr. Awasthi delivered keynote addresses.

Parul University's annual festival is a celebration of cultural diversity and features a platform for students' creative expression. Science Vibe – 2019

The faculty of Applied Science celebrated National Science Day on 15th March, 2019 by organizing Science Vibe event. The event covered various competitions like Working Model Presentation, Poster Presentation, Scientific spot photography, Quiz, Science Game, etc. There were 468 participants from various branches of Parul University.
