About Intellectual Property Laws


The emergence of new technologies and innovations has created an increasing demand for knowledgable people who have the ability to display a unique understanding of the regulations in the field of intellectual property. The Faculty of Law offers a one year Master degree in Intellectual Property Law which seeks to promote and shape the knowledge and understanding of the numerous streams of properties and innovations. The curriculum of this program has been designed in such a way which seeks allows the students to relate with the trends in the industry and follow the set regulatory measures which give way to this field. The program offers students an exposure to the various intellectual areas which include patents, copyrights and trademarks and ensures that the students get to acquire an ability to prescribe effective legal solutions in these knowledge areas. In addition, the scope of this program has been designed in such a way which enhances the student's understanding of significant subject areas such as geographical indicators and traditional rights. The program is taken under the instruction of highly trained and elite faculties who go on to nurture the understanding of the students in line with this field and provide them the much need training and grooming which allows them to be effective legal practioners and advocates of the environment. Therefore, taking this program will provide students with the much needed training and skillsets to excel in this field.

Bar Council of India has mandated the inclusion of Mediation and Conciliation in the Law program and this necessitates the need for students to be trained in this field so as to provide the most effective solutions which are needed for ensuring the efficiency of the legal and justice system.
