About Environmental Laws


The world today has been constantly evolving. Regulations regarding the ecology and the need for ensuring the maximum protection of the environment have also been taking a position of great importance and significance. The Faculty of Law offers a one year postgraduate Masters degree in Environmental Law which seeks to shape legal experts who have the ability to effectively navigate the scope of enviromental regulations and provide solutions for the world. Beyond the regulatory framework, the program seeks to nurture within the students a passion for saving and protecting the environment and the natural ecosystems. The Faculty of Law endevours to desseminate the highest form of legal knowledge under the guidance of top notch and expert lawyers who go on to shape and nurture the students' legal knowlede. The curriculum of this program has been strategically designed in such a manner which relates to the needs of the world and the ecological community, so as to provide the most effictive sustainable solutions for the world. The Faculty is equipped with state of the art facilties and Moot Courts for practical legal training. In addition the students of Environmental Law get to engage with real-time cases which exposes them to the endless streams of knowledge by engaging with the world. The programs covers numerous areas which include environmental impact assessment, ecology and environmental degradation, sunstainability, climate change and global warming amongst other key areas to do with environmental regulation. Therefore, taking part in this program will ensure that the students get to receieve the much needed exposure in environmental law.

The scope of environment and the need to archive sustainable developments has ushered in new streams of Law which go on to provide the students with the most comprehensive and unique understanding of the numerous ways of shaping and developing the scope of the environment. Candidate shall have passed three years unitary program of LL.B. or five year Integrated Law Degree from institutions where the mode of study is a full time program with minimum 45% of marks in aggregate.
