About Alternate Dispute Resolution


The versatility in law has put forward alternative ways by which people can resolve disputes beyond the scope of litigitation and these have been seeing a larger preferential rate amongst numerous parties due to their efficiency and ease of resolution. The Faculty of Law offers a one year Master of Law program in Alternate Dispute Resolution (ADR), which seeks to provide students with the most enriching exposure to the various methods and mechanisms of resolving disputes. The program has been designed to provide the students with an enriching exposure to the various forms of ADR mainly because the judiciary has laid emphasis on exploring the ADR processes for cost-effective, time-efficient amicable resolutions. The Faculty of Law, through this program teaches the students regarding the various aspects of Arbitration, Mediation and Conciliation. The Faculty of Law believes in providing the students with an extensive research experience throughout the course of their studies which allows them to develop an understanding into the current trends of the society. The Faculty of Law also believes in imparting within its students the qualities of a lawyer and a heart of service which seeks to ensure the furthering of justice and the wellbeing of the society.

Why Study Alternate Dispute Resolution

Bar Council of India has mandated the inclusion of Mediation and Conciliation in the Law programme and this has necessitate the need for students to be trained in this field so as to provide the most effective solutions which are needed for ensuring the efficiency of the legal and justice system. Those who receive training in this field will command the highest form of industrial relevance.

Candidate shall have passed three years unitary program of LL.B. or five year Integrated Law Degree from institutions where the mode of study is a full time program with minimum 45% of marks in aggregate.
