The Faculty of Architecture offers a 2-year post-graduate degree program in planning, which provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the various fundamentals of planning.  The students who pursue this program are actively engaged in projects on rural and urban planning, thus creating room for practical significance within the community and the society in general. The curriculum is designed in such a way that it is aimed at providing the students with the most comprehensive understanding of both the national and the global trends in urban development. Through the department of research and development, the students go on to gain the most worthwhile first-hand knowledge regarding the modern technological trends and innovations which can be utilized in their line of work. In addition, the emphasis is given to developing skills required for formulating solutions, data collection and review of offices, local people, bureaucrats, a compilation of data and its research analysis – both quantitative and qualitative reports, drafting legal documents and logical based decision making amongst others. Such research orientation opens students to a pool of career possibilities, coupled with the fundamental understanding on how to navigate the industry.
