About Biomedical Engineering


The Biomedical Engineering program is blend of medicine and engineering which provides a comprehensive exposure to biological concepts coupled with an understanding of engineering technicalities. The Faculty of Engineering offers a Bachelors degree and Diploma degree program in Biomedical Engineering which focuses on providing students with the understanding of machineries and technical systems which are of great utility to the medical field. The program is approved by UGC and is focused on providing students with the most dynamic skill sets essential for being contributors in the biomedical engineering fields. Parul University’s department of biomedical engineering focuses on various subjects such as biology, engineering graphics, engineering physics, human anatomy and electronic devices, amongst others. With the continuous growth in the scope of medicine, digitalisation and technology, the biomedical field plays a pivotal role in providing the much needed solutions for human livelihood. The department is equipped with 6 instructional & research laboratories which provide a worth while practical exposure in the areas of Biology, Human Anatomy & Physiology, Medical Instrumentation and its surgical procedures, Diagnostics, Therapeutics and Analytical Instruments amongst others. With the endless pool of career opportunities in the various technical, medical and research industries, biomedical engineering graduates have wide range of lucrative career possibilities.

Candidate shall have Passed 12th Examination with Physics, Chemistry, Maths subjects and in these subjects along with theory or theory + practical candidate should have obtained at least 45% in case of general category and 40% in case of reserved category from recognized board.
