About Agricultural Engineering


Agriculture plays a role of vital significance towards the social and economic development of every nation. The Faculty of Engineering offers a 4 year Bachelors program in Agricultural Engineering which centers on shaping students with the relevent expertise to shape the society. The program is a part of the Universitys efforts towards producing an effective manpower with the ability to develop and enhance the scope of agriculture. The program is approved by UGC and is focused on providing students with the most dynamic skill sets, which are essential for understanding the various aspects of agriculture. The department follows a curriculum which is strategically designed to equip students with the ability to effectively blend the knowledge of agriculture and engineering. With immense practical training and exposure the program also seeks to mobilize the engineering community to become more effective in delivering real products and services of benefit to the farmers. The agricultural engineering learning experience in Parul University is under the guidance of expert faculties from IITs and NITs, who provide with the most comprehensive academic experience.

Agriculture is one of the most ancient fields which dates back to as early as civilization, and has been continuously growing as a major pillar in various economic landscapes. For this reason, the sector provides an endless number of opportunities for Agriculture Engineers to pursue upon the completion of the program in food processing, irrigation, soil & water conservation, farm machinery renewable technology, etc. Since it is still a developing field, it provides room for research and innovative development for the growth and progress of the Agro sector. Candidate shall have Passed 12th Examination with Physics, Chemistry, Maths/Biology subjects and in these subjects along with theory or theory + practical candidate should have obtained at least 45% in case of general category and 40% in case of reserved category from recognized board.
