Field Visits

Field visits provide students an opportunity to break open from the classroom environment and learn from real-life scenarios and practical experiences shared by the people from the society. Students learn beyond textbook blackboard by reorienting their knowledge onto the scenarios they are exposed to. Moreover, they also get to know the working of any organization/society at a grass-root level.

Zydus Hospital and Research Center, Anand, Gujarat

Zydus Hospital is an NABH Accredited and is said to be one of the best hospitals in the state. The facilities available at Zydus Hospital are highly advanced and hosts latest instruments in the field of diagnostics and medicine. The Senior Officer for the Facility Management and Senior Executive, Customer Care gave a detailed tour and presentation of the entire facility to the students. The Hospital harbours an OPD complex with specialised laboratories and centers, Renal Dialysis Units, Radiology Department with some of the best-in-class equipments. Besides, the students were also given a detailed understanding of the ICCU units, the Cath Lab, the OT units, the Neonatal Care Units and Patient suites for pre-op and post-op care and recovery. The visit provided a detailed insight into how an NABH accredited hospital functions with all the specialisation departments that the students have chosen for their studies.

Divine Pathology Laboratory

Faculty of Vocational Education organized field visit in a commercial medical laboratory wherein students visited different departments and understood the functioning of routine testing methodologies, protocols and difficulties experienced on day-to-day basis. Several demonstrations were also been conducted by professional staff and the owner Dr. Kaushik D. Patel to the students enriching them on real-life, on-field job scenarios and procedures giving an exposure that enriched their learning experience.
