Dr. Kiran Rai

Dr. Rai specializes in the area of Business Laws. She is recipient of University Gold Medals in LL.B & LL.M. Before joining School Of Law, Galgotias University, she had worked as Assistant Professor with ICFAI Business School (IBS), Ahmedabad and thereafter with Institute of Law, Nirma University, Ahmedabad & Amity Law School, Amity University, NOIDA. Post her doctorate, she has eight years’ experience in teaching Business Law to graduate and post graduate students. She has taught various subjects which include Company Law, Law of Contract, Corporate Governance, Merger & Acquisition, Environmental Studies, Constitutional Law, Legal Research, Business Entrepreneurship, Business Communication & Soft Skills. She has presented numerous papers in many International and National Conferences. Dr. Rai received Best Paper Presentation award for presenting paper on “Surrogacy, an Outsourced Business to India – Issues & Perspectives” in the International Conference on “Indigenous Managerial Practices”, held in Annamalai University, Tamil Nadu on 16th -18th July, 2009. Her research papers and articles have been published in various magazines and journals and some are under publication. Her paper on “Increasing Sales Person’s Face Time With Customers – Redefining Roles &Responsibilities” was published as Cover Story in the January, 2010 issue of “Marketing Mastermind” magazine, ISSN 0972-5156 vol-X, Issue-1, pg-21-28. She had been involved in various course developments and was invited as an expert by Institute of Technology, Nirma University, Ahmedabad in the framing of the syllabus for an elective course ‘Law For Engineers’. She has successfully organized several major workshops & seminars – most notable amongst them being workshop for sensitizing police personnel on women’s legal rights in collaboration with National Commission For Woman (NCW) & national seminar in collaboration with National Human Rights Commission (NHRC). Her current area of research & interest includes Corporate Governance and Property Laws.
