The Department of Civil Engineering at Parul University Campus has arranged several workshops for students as well as for faculty members. The workshop offers intensive learning of theoretical and practical aspects of various Civil Engineering problems along with hands on learning sessions. The workshop boosts the skill and confidence within students and faculty members to tackle the practice problems.
Workshop on STAAD PRO Software
Located in the Heart of the City, EZ Professional Training Institutes providing Training on STAAD PRO software with Site Visit & Advanced Structural Concepts. 40 students of B.Tech final year of Parul University attended the workshop organised by EZ professional training institute at Parul Institute of Technology,Limda. Mr. Satish Jethwani, Business Development Partner & Training Head of training institute delivered lectures on the software basics and the structural concepts required for software learning process followed by hand-on practice of the software. The duration of the workshop was from 19th dec to 25th dec 2016. The training institute has tie-ups with Bentley which is official partner of STAAD PRO. Students learnt a lot from the workshop and questions from many students was replied with satisfactory answers. The workshop was concluded with a test on software basics and structural concepts.
Department of CIVIL organized a workshop on GIS for five days. The purpose of this training program was to create this know how amongst stake holders. The participants have developed capability to conduct GIS based projects either from academia or industry and render their help shaping better India. Mr. Sitansu Pattnaik , Director of KCube Consultancy having GIS based project work experience of eight years in USA and 3 years in India had conducted the training. Shri R.J. Rao, Head of Dam Safety Organisation of Gujarat State was the chief guest and officials from government sector like GERI participated in the program. The topics like Remote Sensing,Introduction to GIS, Applications of GIS,Image Processing, GPS, GPS Navigation Reading, QGIS OSS were covered in the workshop.
