Prof. Gautam Patel is an Industrial designer with more than 35 years of experience, having completed his education at the highly respected NID Institute. Mr. Patel has a vast exposure in multidisciplinary design attitude and is a strong believer of team work.
He has worked and interacted with known artisans of both wood and metal crafts in major states of India. And also as a team member with eminent architects B. V. Doshi, Dasharth Patel, the Padmashree personalities, and also including Narendra Modi, now PM of India.
He has designed and executed Interiors for shops, showrooms, hotels, offices, residences and adventure club institutions successfully over the last 25 years. He has also been involved in designing vehicles used in a road show for public awareness called YATRA and has also designed the Ekta Yatra Rath used by Murli Manohar and Narendra Modi to travel from Kanyakumari to Kashmir Lal Chock. He has also helped design all the Rath Designs used for election campaigns of Gujarat in the last 10 years.
He has had major experience of exhibition design as a constant participant in major International Summits, since AGRI EXPO ‘77 to the latest VIBRANT GUJART 2015, an International Investors Summit, now a major success story of Gujarat being followed by other states of India to attract Investments internationally.
He has won close to half a dozen awards for best pavilion in International Exhibitions at Chandigarh, Bangalore, Chennai, and Ahmadabad. He has also pocketed the Best International Animation Film award for science, society and development at Thiruvananthpuram, Kerala for his silent animation world view on Traffic with the message, “There are more people injured and killed by Road Accidents than on the battle field”.
He believes that ‘Make in India’ can be achieved only after ‘Design in India’.
