The Department History goes back to year 2005 when we first got AICTE approval for intake of 60 students in E & C Department .Since then we have produced highly skilled Diploma Engineers in Electronics and Communication Branch and many of our students have been selected for Undergraduate Degree Programs in topmost Colleges as well as in many reputed industries. Now we have intake of 120 for first shift.
Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering is offering technology oriented courses and creating manpower in the strategic areas well compatible with the industrial expectations. The main vision of the department is to mould tomorrow’s technocrats by imbibing the essence of human values for innovation and creativity in science and technology towards building a peaceful self-sustaining Nation. Further, to set standards in teaching and learning incessantly for making a bright career path for the students and to establish state-of-the-art center for excellence in research.
Students are given broad opportunities for relevant skill development apart from regular academics in order to make them competitive and industry ready. In addition, special training in national / International level tests for fellowships for higher studies.
The department also conducts workshops, symposia and faculty development programs regularly for improving the teaching and learning quality. Also the department is involved in the society development programs to make impact on its development and awareness.
The Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) Department has a rich tradition in research and teaching. The research interests of the faculty members of the department encompass the wide area of applied and fundamental aspects of Electronics and Communication Engineering. Collaboration in between the research groups of the department and with other departments is also a practice.
Keeping in line with fast changing technology, the department has a well designed, constantly reviewed syllabus to incorporate all advancements in existing and emerging technologies. The state-of-the-art laboratories complement the high standards set by the competitive syllabus and nurture the inclination of the students towards research and development, besides giving them the necessary and sufficient backing of practical knowledge that they need.
To provide high quality learning environment to facilitate the analytical, conceptual and practical knowledge of modern systems. To offer flexible platform to students to develop multi-disciplinary activities.To encourage all staff to improve the quality of teaching. To maintain and ensure high quality of teaching by conducting/participating in educational programs like Industrial visits, workshop, seminars etc at state, national and international level.To establish a system of quality management and monitoring it to improve performance at all levels of teaching, research and community services.
