Industrial Visits

As a part of academic curriculum, various industrial visits are organized to promote industrial exposure to students. Industrial visit is considered as one of the tactical methods of teaching. The main reason behind this- it lets student to know things practically through interaction, working methods and employment practices. Moreover, it gives exposure from academic point of view. Main aim of industrial visit is to provide an exposure to students about practical working environment.

Industrial Visit at Airforce Station Harni Vadodara

The 1st and 3rd semester students of the Department of Aeronautical engineering along with 2 faculty members visited the Air Force Station, Harni, in Vadodara. There were two batches of students, each batch comprised of 25 students who visited on 13th August 2016. Two faculties escorted the students during visit. During the visit, introduced to air force airplanes and helicopters, major subassemblies of radar, different parts of antenna assembly, power supply equipment, combat vehicles, launching pad etc. were demonstrated by the specialists to the students. The students were also given an overview of Air Defence Radar and Missile deployment system and different missile guidance systems.

Energy Process Equipments, Por GIDC Vadodara

The 2nd semester students of the Department of Aeronautical engineering along with 1 faculty member visited the Energy process equipment, Por, in Vadodara. There was one batch of 25 students who visited on 31st March 2016. One faculty escorted the students during visit. During the visit, introduced to Boiler and other thermal equipments, major operation of manufacturing processes, different parts of boiler, power supply equipment of welding, brief introduction of welding processes, sheet metal operations, CNC machine operation etc. were demonstrated by the specialists to the students.
