About the program

Master of Public Health is aimed at developing public health administrators with expertise in related areas of community health including disease characteristics, their prevention and control, management in crisis situations, forecast strategic disease prevention policies, quality assurance & regulatory affairs. A cadre of trained public health professionals in the country can be prepared by training the in-service health professionals working in government health departments.

The MPH course offered by Parul University aims to introduce the participants to the Indian public health system including the current national health programs. It further aims at teaching essential management skills required to be a good public health manager. It has become necessary to enhance the capacity of Public Health Managerial workforce and to address and resolve key health management challenges.

The main focus of this program is to emphasize preventive measures that pose a threat to public health than treatment that has become a focal point in the current global scenario. The program is structured on multidisciplinary curriculum, including public health management, epidemiology and biostatistics, demography, social sciences, health promotion, health economics and policy and other important disciplines.
