The recently announced national rankings in ayurveda and homeopathy have raised the city’s standards of quality medical education, with two of the local ayurveda institutes and four homeopathy institutes under PU being ranked among the nation’s top. The National Commission for Indian System of Medicine and the Quality Council of India, recently declared the national rankings of ayurveda institutes across India, where Parul Institute of Ayurved was awarded a Grade A and ranked 8th in India and Parul Institute of Ayurved and Research was also awarded a Grade A with an 11th rank across the nation. In addition to this achievement, all four of PU’s Homeopathy Institutes, were also declared among the nation’s top institutes in the recent National Medical Assessment and Ratings by the National Commission for Homeopathy. Jawaharlal Nehru Homoeopathic Medical College, Ahmedabad Homoeopathic Medical College, Rajkot Homoeopathic Medical College and Parul Institute of Homoeopathy & Research were awarded with a Grade A+, placing them among the leading institutes for Homeopathy education in Gujarat and India.
These top rankings and ratings secured by all 6 of PU’s ayush institutes, is a testament to its commitment towards providing the highest standards of quality in ayurvedic and homeopathy medicine and education. The NCISM and QCI standards, evaluate the institutes’ quality mechanism through parameters such as infrastructure and resources, research, teaching practices and innovation among other quality mechanisms, under which all the ayurveda institutes under PU secured high ratings. Over the years, the University has made significant efforts dedicated towards reinforcing its ayurvedic medical training, by providing the highest standards of excellence through effective clinical training with the support of its NABH accredited teaching hospitals. “As PU, we have been committed towards shaping and nurturing the finest practitioners in ayurved medicine.
