A vibrant university at the heart of Vadodara, PU has been ranked as one of the top universities with the highest number of nationalities with over 1500 international students from over 56 countries. On the occasion of Africa Day, PU organized a celebration for all the students on its campus. The university invited Miss Universe 2019 Zozibini Tunzi for the celebration as well as a PUtalks session. The university has become a home away from home for these students and has been instilling the importance of celebrating culture and heritage amongst its students. 

Students from various faculties performed dances, poetry, music, and a fashion walk showcasing an array of cultures from the rich continent. The performance was followed by a Putalks session with Miss South Africa 2019 where the students were presented with an opportunity to interact with her. She shared meaningful words and some of the important life lessons she has learned in the pageant world.

She shared that, “before race, culture, achievements, gender we are humans, we should spread love and be united this is one of the most important lessons that I have learned in my journey”. Students were also presented with a platform to share gifts and also perform for her. The university has set up various cells to empower and nourish the student's extra-curricular skills. The International student affairs cell in collaboration with the cultural and events cells made this possible.
