Vadodara-based PU proudly received the “Jury Award for Excellence in Globalisation” at the 19th FICCI Higher Education Excellence Awards 2024. This award not only signifies the importance the university places on globalization but also aligns with the NEP 2020 goal of developing and nurturing internationalization at the university level. This esteemed accolade underscores the university's unwavering commitment to fostering global engagement, strengthening international collaborations, and providing world-class educational experiences for its diverse student body.

The FICCI Higher Education Excellence Awards celebrate institutions that demonstrate exceptional performance in enhancing the quality and accessibility of higher education in India. This year’s award ceremony brought together key stakeholders from the education sector, recognizing the vital role that universities play in shaping a global learning environment.

PU has remained steadfast in its commitment towards fostering international collaboration while providing transformational educational experiences. Through this innovative approach to education and global engagement, students have got to enhance their learning while navigating through an interconnected world.

With strategic partnership deals inked with renowned institutions worldwide, top-notch semester exchange and pathway programs, and a curriculum designed to meet global standards, the university has diligently prepared its students and professors to thrive in an increasingly interconnected world. It has continually prioritized the importance of international exposure and collaboration, having sent over 1,000 students and professors abroad for various academic programs and hosting more than 500 international students and professors at the university.

As part of its globalization efforts, the university has established numerous collaborations, organized by its Center for International Relations and Research (CIRR), facilitating opportunities for students to travel overseas for summer school, master's projects, internships, and pathway programs, while also bringing international professors and students to the university. Under the International Distinguished Professor program, professors from overseas universities spend a month on campus instructing university students and collaborating on various projects. The university warmly welcomes international students for semester programs, internships, and summer courses, providing opportunities to earn academic credits. With a vibrant community that includes students from Spain, Germany, and Italy, the campus fosters a rich global perspective, enhancing the learning experience for everyone.
