PU to Organize Tech Expo 2025, Gujarat’s Leading Tech Fest, Showcasing Groundbreaking Student Innovations Across Multiple Disciplines

PU is set to host Tech Expo 2025, its annual flagship technical exhibition and one of Gujarat’s leading tech festivals. This thrilling, insightful, and engaging event serves as a premier platform for final-year degree and diploma students across engineering, applied sciences, computer applications, and agriculture disciplines to showcase their groundbreaking technological innovations. It provides students with hands-on training experience in the field of technology, allowing them to gain practical, real-world exposure and build the skills required to drive the industry forward seamlessly. The event will see the esteemed presence of Shri Narasimha Komar, IPS & Commissioner of Police, Vadodara City as the Chief Guest, whose illustrious career and commitment to law enforcement have made a significant impact in shaping the safety and security landscape of the city.

Unlike a conventional exhibition, Tech Expo 2025 extends beyond PU, inviting participation from 1500+ individuals across universities and schools within Gujarat and beyond. The two-day event will feature a remarkable lineup of 370 projects, each designed to address real-world challenges through cutting-edge technology. During the exhibition, student teams will display their projects at dedicated stalls, providing a visual representation of their hard work and innovation. Expert advice from 20+ distinguished guests will help participants refine and enhance their ideas, ensuring their projects meet industry standards and practical applications. The most exceptional and novel initiatives will be recognized with awards, celebrating the students' contributions to technology and innovation.

Among the notable student exhibits is the Automotive Waste Heat Recovery System Using Thermoelectric Generators, which harnesses excess engine heat and converts it into useful electrical energy using the Seebeck effect. Another highlight is Baaz, a next-generation drone equipped with thermal imaging, infrared cameras, and night vision systems, designed for security, search and rescue, and military applications.

Sustainability and water conservation will also take the spotlight with the Real-Time Water Quality Monitoring and Leakage Detection System, which employs IoT technology to detect and report anomalies in water quality and distribution through real-time alerts. Health and wellness innovations will also be showcased, including the Muscle Cramp Guardian, a wearable device that monitors muscle movements and warns users of impending cramps using flex sensors and Bluetooth technology.

Assistive technology and aids will also be a key attraction. The Smart Blind Stick, for example, will demonstrate a next-gen mobility aid for visually impaired individuals, integrating ultrasonic sensors for obstacle detection and moisture sensors to alert users about water hazards. In the domain of food technology, students have developed Millet-Enriched Chocolate Protein Bars, offering a nutrient-packed alternative to commercial snack bars. Combining amaranth, nuts, dates, and figs, these bars promote healthy eating while catering to modern dietary needs.

In addition, projects like the Motorcycle Anti-Theft & Crash Response System, will redefine safety and security. It leverages GPS, GSM, and accelerometer-based crash detection, enabling real-time tracking and remote vehicle immobilization via a smartphone app. The system also explores AI-driven theft prediction and automated alerts. Taking security to another level, VENOM (Vector Enhanced Neutralization and Ordnance Manipulation) is a futuristic bomb disposal robotic arm featuring five degrees of freedom and advanced motion-capture technology, ensuring precision and operator safety in hazardous environments.

With these and many other remarkable projects on display, Tech Expo 2025 is poised to be a hub of technological ingenuity, attracting students, industry experts, and technology enthusiasts. The event will not only provide a stage for young innovators to present their work but will also create networking opportunities with industry leaders, paving the way for future collaborations and advancements in science and technology. With such initiatives, PU continues to reinforce its commitment to upholding innovation, research, and take its industry-led learning forward.
