Six Healthcare Startups That Pitched at NHSC – National Healthcare Skills Conclave 2026, Parul University

The National Healthcare Skills Conclave 2026 at Parul University showcased six healthcare startups solving real problems: Rehabveda (brain-controlled rehabilitation, Shark Tank India S5), Axamine.AI (AI diagnostic imaging in 11 hospitals),…

Rehabveda - Brain-Controlled Rehabilitation for Paralysis Patients

March 13, 2026 | Hitesh Patel |

Rehabveda develops rehabilitation devices that combine EEG (electroencephalography) with robotic systems to enable paralysed patients to move using brain signals. The system detects motor intent via EEG, processes it through AI, and a robotic glove executes the movement – accelerating brain rewiring compared to traditional physiotherapy. The founder worked with ISRO and DRDO before applying robotics and AI expertise to neurotechnology. Over the past five years, Rehabveda has made significant progress. It appeared on Shark Tank India Season 5 and secured funding from Namita Thapar and Mohit Yadav. It is an IIT-incubated startup with presence in Europe, plans for US expansion, a team of around 10 members (including physiotherapists, sales, and marketing professionals), and a 17,000 sq. ft. rehabilitation centre under construction in Ahmedabad. The technology is especially beneficial for patients suffering from stroke, spinal cord injuries, and paralysis. The name combines ‘Rehab’ (rehabilitation) and ‘Veda’ (Indian knowledge heritage).

Axamine.AI - AI-Powered Diagnostic Assistance to Reduce Misdiagnosis

Founded after the founder lost his grandmother to a misdiagnosis (cancer mistaken for infection), Axamine.AI provides AI-powered diagnostic systems that interpret X-rays, MRI scans, and CT scans. The platform generates detailed reports within approximately 10 minutes, which doctors then review for final diagnosis. It does not replace doctors – it assists them. Currently piloting in 11 hospitals with radiologists and oncologists. Founded in 2024, it has received recognition through SSIP from PIERC and a student startup grant from I-HUB. More than 130 million people globally are affected by diagnostic errors annually – the problem Axamine is solving.

Carelynx - Digital Healthcare Platform With QR-Based Medical Records

Born from the founder’s hospital internship experience observing patient inefficiencies, Carelynx integrates appointments, health records, and prescriptions into one platform. Its standout feature: a QR code system where doctors scan a patient’s code to instantly access complete medical history – useful for patients travelling or changing providers. The platform includes home care services (hospital-like care at home) and API-based software for hospitals to digitise operations. Currently collaborating with Savita Hospital Vadodara and in the final development phase before market launch.

Drashtick - Smart Eye Stick for Visually Impaired Safety

Drashtick began as a diploma project after the founder saw a blind woman being led through a bus by a family member. The Smart Eye Stick includes an SOS button that shares the user’s live location with their guardian and activates a camera so guardians can view surroundings in real time. The prototype is incubated under PIERC at Parul University. The founder (B.Tech IT) works with a team of two and describes the journey as difficult at first but increasingly fulfilling as the project grows.

Healthytrac - Red-Light Therapy Targeting Root Causes, Not Symptoms

Healthytrac uses red and infrared light therapy to promote healing by targeting root causes rather than symptoms. The motivation: not everyone receives adequate exposure to natural sunlight, which over time can lead to chronic health problems. The founder, a final-year M.Pharm student at KPGU Vadodara, developed the approach based on research showing that Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS) triggered by infrared rays can reduce inflammation, including in cancer treatment applications. A published paper supports the use of gold nanoparticles triggered by infrared rays. The venture is self-funded, has won a ₹1.5 lakh competition, received SSIP funding, collaborates with 15 doctors, and has treated over 1,000 patients.

Eternia - Anonymous Mental Health Support Platform for Students

Eternia was conceptualised during the Smart India Hackathon at Parul University. The founders identified that mental health stigma in India prevents students from seeking help – psychologists are perceived as doctors only for those who are ‘insane.’ The platform provides a safe, anonymous space where students ask mental health questions using APAAR ID (government-approved) without revealing personal details. Critically, Eternia does not store user data or interaction history for AI training, which the founder says existing platforms do in violation of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act. The platform is based on a ‘black room model’ – originally an offline practice – adapted into a digital format. Currently incubated at PIERC, Parul University. The niche focus is student mental health, with plans to expand services to a wider audience as the platform grows.

PIERC Connection:

Two of six startups (Drashtick and Eternia) are incubated at PIERC (Parul Innovation and Entrepreneurship Research Centre). Axamine.AI received SSIP support from PIERC. PIERC has incubated 230+ startups with ₹30 crore+ collective revenue and 1,100+ jobs created – making it the university’s startup-to-market pipeline.
