About Robotics and Automation Engineering

Robotics and Automation engineering is a field of engineering that deals with the design and creation of robots with integration of computers to manipulate the process of robotic actions. The emergence of artificial intelligence as an integral part of robotics technology has placed the study of Robotics and Automation engineering on a position of great socio-economic significance. For this reason, the Faculty of Engineering endeavours to spearhead the search for innovative robotics technology, by producing competent and skilled resources with the ability to navigate the field. The Parul University Faculty of Engineering offers a Bachelors degree in robotics and automation engineering which is a four year program designed to provide students with a unique exposure to this field. The program is UGC approved, thus it seeks to guarantee every student the most edifying learning experience. The program is strategically designed to equip students with the skill sets and ability to understand and operate the various forms of robotics elements. With our elite league of faculties from renowned institutions such as IITs and NITs, we provide our students with the most personalized learning experience. As a way of developing the practical development of the students, the faculty of engineering is equipped with various laboratories and research centres such as Electronic Engineering Labs, Mechanical Engineering Labs and Computer Science and Engineering Labs amongst others. Robotics and Automation Engineering CurriculumActivities


Its an annual festival organised by the faculty of engineering, which acts as a platform for showcasing the innovative ideas of the students. The festival features student challenges in creating robotic systems, drones, with hell in cell being one of the largest event where students from across the nation take part in battles and racing challenges, designed to test all the abilities of the robots.

3D Printing Technology

This one day workshop was organized by Parul University in association with Computer Society of India, Vadodara Chapter as a part of their golden Jubilee celebration. In this workshop the application and future scope of 3D printing was the point of discussion and how automation processes play a significant role in printing. It also highlighted to the students how such automated systems have been gradually taking over the traditional production sectors.

Tech Expo

One of Faculty of Engineering's major annual exhibition where the final year students get to exhibit their highly innovative projects. A total of 4,000 students took part in this year's tech expo exhibition where they were showcasing their robots and automated systems which were strategically designed to act as solutions for various socio-economic issues.


In collaboration with Wroclaw University of Science and Technology (WuST), the Faculty of Engineering jointly organised the 1st International Conference on Smart Engineering. A total of 40 out of 100 papers were presented on the broad themes of Thermal Engineering, Production Engineering, Design Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Energy and Environment and others for Mechanical Engineering Track 'Smart Engineering'.
