About Post Basic B.Sc Nursing

With pandemics and global healthcare crisis creating a strain upon the field of healthcare, it has become imperative to provide the much needed human resources who have the ability to supplement the demands of this field, and work as nurses. For this purpose, the Faculty of Nursing offers a Post Basic Bachelors of Science in Nursing, a four year program which is designed to provide the students with the much needed understanding of the scope of healthcare. The Nursing profession has been at the centre of every society and community, thus this program allows the students to enhance their understanding and skillsets in line with this field which further provides the students with much needed understanding of the scope of this field. What makes this program uniquely valuable is its ability to cater to the academic needs of already practicing nurses so as to provide the much needed knowledge and skillsets in the field. This program trains the students in the various aspects of Community Health, Pharmacology, Pathology, Genetics, Nutrition and Biochemistry amongst others which provides the fundamental basis of patient care and treatement. The Faculty of Nursing, believes in providing the students with the much needed practical training, thus it is equipped with a 750 bedded multi-specialty teaching hospital- Parul Sevashram Hospital, which focuses on providing the highest form of guided care to the patients from across the nation who will actively contribute to the national and global scope of healthcare.
