The 2nd International Conference, Parul University International Conference on Engineering & Technology: Smart Engineering was Jointly organized by Faculty of Engineering & Technology, Parul University, India and Wroclaw University of Science and Technology, Wroclaw, Poland. The mechanism of civil and mechanical Engineering and Allied Engineering was covered under the theme of 'Smart Innovations' in PiCET'19. First session on day one was on theme: 'Next-Generation Manufacturing'

Climate Change Impact On Water Resource System

A two day national level seminar was organized in November 2013 to enlighten the issue of 'Climate Change' to understand and deal with climatic changes and their impacts on water resource system. The event was sponsored by AICTE & GUJCOST , DST and supported by COE TEQIP II of SVNIT, Surat to discuss in detail such significant themes as Agriculture, Climate change ,Drought ,Flood ,Hydel power ,River flow ,Water shed ,Water use ,etc.

Industrial Visit to Ready Mix Concrete Plant

An industrial visit for faculty members of Parul University has been organized by the university at Ready Mix Concrete plant, Surat to enhance their skills and to understand the fundamental concepts of manufacturing of cement-concrete. It covered fundamentals of Ready mix concrete production, import and export of concrete, handling of cement for adequate strength and durability aspect.

Waste Water Treatment Technique

An expert lecture was organized for the students of 6th Sem. The guest speaker was Dr. U. D. Patel, Professor at Faculty of Tech. & Engg., M.S.University, Vadodara. He enlightened the students with his experience and knowledge in the field of Water and Waste Water Treatment and Management. The session focused on necessity of decentralized waste water treatment was explained. A new innovative technology named Vermifiltration was discussed for sewage treatment as a low cost treatment option.
