About M.Tech Chemical Engineering


The Master of Technology in Chemical Engineering is a two year post graduate program which seeks to develop within the students an understanding of the basis of chemical based engineering. The program provides students with a unique specialisation in the field which allows them to effectively conduct experiments and research based studies in the field so as to further their expertise in the field. Inorder to facilitate this learning environment, the Faculty has established facilities for research and experimentation such as laboratories and workshops for practical work related to chemical elements. The program seeks to teach students in the manner of converting chemicals, and chemical raw materials, living cells and microorgnanism into useful products. The program is interdisciplinary in nature and provides students with an exposure to other fields such as chemistry, biology and physics. Through this program, the students are exposed to a unique industrial exposure which allows them to get a step ahead in their career as they stay in touch with the contemporary industrial trends. The Faculty of Engineering has emerged as the epicentre of learning with its unique orientation towards shaping and developing effective human resources to supplement the demand in the field.

Global Grand Challenges Summit-2019

Faculty of Engineering & Technology, Parul University organized the Global Grand Challenges Summit (GGCS) event from 16-18 September 2019 on the UN Sustainable Goals. The students got the opportunity to work and research on areas related to the understanding of solution required for the betterment of humanity.

The 2nd International Conference- Parul University International Conference on Engineering & Technology: Smart Engineering was jointly organized by Faculty of Engineering & Technology, Parul University, India and Wroclaw University of Science and Technology, Wroclaw, Poland. Mechanical Engineering and Allied Engineering had been covered under the theme of "Smart Innovations" in PiCET'19. The first session on day one was on theme: 'Next-Generation Manufacturing'.

Expert Lecture on Fertilizer Industrial safety in petroleum industries

Chemical Department Conducted an expert talk by Mr. Kalpeshkumar Raval, HSE of Dragon oil, Turkmenistan. He has delivered expert talk in detail of General Safety, Occupational Safety and Health Process and Production Safety, Material Safety, Workplace Safety Fire Safety, Electrical Safety, Building and Structural Safety Environmental Safety.

Industrial Visit to GACL

The students and faculty members of Chemical Engineering department visited GACL, Vadodara. 90 students of the 6th semester visited the company. They were accompanied by faculty members Prof. Kuldeep Bhatt, Prof. Ami Patel and Prof. Priyesnath Rathod. Students saw the manufacturing of Caustic Soda by membrane cell process. Student also saw how flammable hydrogen and poisonous chlorine gas is stored.
