About M.Tech CAD/CAM


The growing scope of innovation and technology has opened up new streams of innovations which demand immense visualisations and illustrations to provide the most effective and well structured blueprints through computer aided systems. The Faculty of Engineering offers a two Masters Degree program in CAD and CAM which seeks to provide the students with the much needed understanding of the various scopes of computed designs. Computer Aided Design CAD and Computer Aided Manufacturing CAM, are two of the most essential knowledge areas which have been put together to provide the students with the most specialised understanding of design systems which get to help the engineering process. The Faculty is fully equipped with the most comprehensive platforms for practical training such as workshops and laboratories which go on to provide the and understanding of the various of creation, modification, analysis, or optimization designs in engineering. The Faculty goes on to provide the much needed training through its league of faculties from IITs and NITs who go on to provide the students an expert based understanding of this field in preparation of their careers in the industry.

Seminar on Futuristic Trends in Natural Fibre Composites and its Application

Department of Mechanical Engineering conducted a GUJCOST sponsored one day seminar on "Futuristic Trends in Natural Fibre Composites and its Application" on January 4, 2019. The seminar was organized with an aim to disseminate fundamental knowledge pertaining to the recent and futuristic trends in the field of Natural Fibre Composites.

Workshop on Wind Tunnel Experiments Techniques and Applications

Under Industry Defined Research Project titled 'To Reduce Water Consumption and Optimize Efficiency of Thermal Power Plants by Using Air Cooled Condensers' funded by Royal Academy of Engineering ,UK under Newton Bhabha Fund, Parul University had jointly with L&T and University of Surrey organized Workshop on 'Wind Tunnel Experiments- Techniques and Applications' on 17th March 2018.

Industrial Visit at Railway Workshop, Bhavnagar

A visit at Railway Workshop, Bhavnagar was arranged by the department of mechanical engineering for students. This workshop is carrying out POH of MG ICF coaches with the target of 15 coaches per month. Recently, the work of IOH of BG coach bogies is assigned to this workshop.

The 2nd International Conference, Parul University International Conference on Engineering & Technology: Smart Engineering was Jointly organized by Faculty of Engineering & Technology, Parul University, India and Wroclaw University of Science and Technology, Wroclaw, Poland. The mechanism of civil and mechanical Engineering and Allied Engineering was covered under the theme of 'Smart Innovations' in PiCET'19. First session on day one was on theme: 'Next-Generation Manufacturing'
