About M.Sc. Genetics


The Faculty of Applied sciences provides a two Master of Science Degree in Genetics, which focuses on the discovery of knowledge related to genetical research and related biological sciences. The cutting-edge research in genetics studies and investigation in DNA has opened new avenues of study and specialisation in the field. As a way of furthering its research agenda, the Faculty of Applied Sciences focuses is equipped with state of the art facilities and laboratories for research and experimentation which allows students to gain a hands-on training experience of various areas. The curriculum is uniquely designed to inculcate within the students the root level knowledge of genetics, it’s past and present innovations and also its future scope. This multidisciplinary study provides students with a comprehensive genetics study along with the knowledge of related biological studies. As a way of developing and shaping the practical hands-on training of the students, the constantly engages in knowledge-centric workshops and innovative experimental projects under the guidance of expert faculties and resource persons. The department maintains strong tries with various industries and research centres which continuously shape and guide the genetics students towards developing effective career competencies.
