About MMS. Rural Planning & Management

The present need is to ensure the growth and development of remote and rural communities and to empower these marginalised people towards a path of inclusiveness within the mainstream communities through effective development of architectural structures.The Faculty of Architecture offers a two year postgraduate Masters degree in Rural Planning & Management which seeks to provide the students with an indepth understanding of the various methods and mechanisms which relates to the process of planning rural settlements. This program has been designed to enable students to deal with real life grass root level problems with limited infrastructure facilities in distinct rural areas of India. It goes on to focus on rural sector development trends, rural marketing, rural infrastructure and housing, natural resource management, rural management, agriculture ecology, rural decentralization and local governance etc. The Faculty has been equipped with state of the art facilities which go on to provide students with the most enriching understanding into the various trends of the industry through practical hands on training which prepares the students for their various roles in the field. The program is taken under the guidance of expert faculties and trainers who get to nurture students towards their path of endless career possibilities.
