About M.Des in Toy Design

The use of creative imagination to build various forms of structural realities has been the underlying principle behind the designing and creation of toys. The advancement of technology has brought about various forms of interactive designs and systems which gives not only funfilled experiences, but also highly interactive realities. The Faculty of Design offers a 2 year post graduate program in Toy Design which seeks to impart within the students a comprehensive understanding of the various apsects of the field. The Toy Design program deals with the research, ideation, designing, development and implementation of newly designed toys and by redesigning of extinct traditional toys as well as games in a modern way to make it compatible with current scenario and also to make it sustain in the current market. The program seeks to develop within the students a comphrensive understanding of the various aspects of toy designing through the use of digital technologies which allows the students to innovate the highest forms of modern technologies in the field. The toy industry is classified into various segments like plush soft toys, action hero figures, arts & crafts, building sets, dolls, games/puzzles, electronics, outdoor games and sports toys amongst others. The faculty is equipped with state of the art laboratories and facilites which seek to impart within the students a unique understanding of the practical fundamentals of the field which prepares every students for their careers in the field. The program is taken under the instruction of highly skilled and highly trained experts who get to shape the students during the course of their academics.
