About Master of Arts in Labour Welfare#


Ensuring the well-being and the welfare of the human resources is at the epicentre of every legal framework. The growing scope of the industry has created a huge demand for the implementation and regulatory practices which ensure the welfare of the labour. As a way of providing the much needed training and expertise in the field, the Faculty of Law offers a one year post graudate program in Labour Welfare. The course aims at developing the quality of working life of the labour force, thereby contributing and promoting the country’s development economically, socially and politically. The program is blended with the needs of the corporate and industrial sectors to develop an insightful understanding into the various regulatory needs of the industry. The students who get to  pursue this program, will be exposed to various forms of research based learning for the discovery of new ideas and solving socially centred issues. The curriculum of the program has been strategically developed to provide the students with the much needed knowlededge and understanding into the various fields of law which include the Indian Legal System, Law relating to Labour Management, Principles of Wage Fixation, Law of Wages and Social Security Legislation, Labour and Industrial Laws, Laws related to Labour Welfare though this indepth exposure the students will get to develop an understanding into the essential requirements and needs of the labour market.
