About Instrumentation and Control Engineering


The Instrumentation and Control engineering program focuses on the directing and controlling of instruments and machinery through the use of electronics. The Faculty of Engineering offers a Bachelors degree in Instrumentation and Control Engineering which focuses in cementing within the students the fundamentals of this field. The program is strategically designed to equip students with the skill sets and ability to understand and operate the various forms of industrial instruments. The program is related to the various streams of automated processes in manufacturing and chemical plants with the goal of improving and enhancing the productivity, reliability and stability. With its AICTE approval, the department of Instrumentation and Control Engineering seeks to provide students with the highest form of quality academic exposure to the contemporary industrial technologies. The scope of study involves processed variables used in industries such as Pressure, Temperature, Humidity, Flow, pH, Force, Speed levels etc. applying the control theory to design systems with desired behaviours. Our highly trained expert faculties form prominent institutions such as IITs and NITs provide students with the most practically engaging learning experience imparting within them the relevant skills to meet the industrial demands.

PiCET-2019

The 2nd International Conference- Parul University International Conference on Engineering & Technology: Smart Engineering was jointly organized by Faculty of Engineering & Technology, Parul University, India and Wroclaw University of Science and Technology, Wroclaw, Poland. Mechanical Engineering and Allied Engineering had been covered under the theme of 'Smart Innovations' in PiCET'19. First session on day one was on theme: 'Next-Generation Manufacturing'.

Tech Expo

It is one of Faculty of Engineering's major annual exhibition where final year students get to exhibit their highly innovative projects. A total of 4,000 students took part in this year's tech expo exhibition where they were showcasing their robots and automated systems which were strategically designed to act as solutions for various socio-economic issues.

Workshop on Internet of Things

One Week short term training program on 'INTERNET ON THINGS (IOT) AND ITS APPLICATIONS' was conducted from 25th to 29th June, 2018. The Training Program was Hands on only and all the sessions were conducted in the Laboratory. It covered essential aspects of IOT, which is introduced in educational Institutions in India as well as massively growing core domain for Electronics. It updated the faculty of IOT, Machine learning & Artificial intelligent.

Industrial Visit to ISRO

The Vikram Sarabhai Space Exhibition (VSSE) is a 'Mini ISRO'. It gives knowledge to students on the significant advancements and achievements made by Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). By taking it in account on 10th April, 2019, the Department of Instrumentation and Control Engineering organised visit to Vikram Sarabhai Space Exhibition (VSSE).
