About B.Sc. Information Technology

Information Technology has been the driving force behind the growth of every sector of life, and the livelihood of both people and economies has been anchored on effective and effecient IT systems. The Faculty of IT and Computer Science offers a three year bachelor of science degree in Information Technology which seeks to develop within the students a mastery of computer systems. The program is uniquely designed to expose students to some of the global issues, and seeks to nurture students in a manner which allows them to actively engage with computer and computer aided technologies to provide comprehensive solutions to these challenges. The Faculty emphasizes in providing students with a practical learning experience which gives them an exposure to some of the latest and modern technologies and computer systems. Through this study, the students get to learn the fundamentals of Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, Cloud Computing, Security and Networking. The University's computer programs have been further enhanced through the addition of a State Government sponsored super computer which is designed to provide comprehensive solutions through high-end computing. Through such facilities, the University constantly engages the students of Information Technology in a series of hackathons, and various technical events designed to increase their digital literacy through an understandin these systems. The students who get to pursue this program get a step ahead in preparing of their career.
