About B.Sc in Dairy Science

The Dairy industry has occupied a position of great siginificance in the livelihood of the people and the general society and this has created a constant demand both in the domestic and the commercial ways of life. From the rural communities to large scale commercial farms, the rearing of cattle for milk production has been a vital source of income. The Faculty of Engineering offers a three year Bachelor of Science in Dairy Science, a program which has been strategically designed to provide the students with the much needed expertise and competencies, required to navigate the scope of this field. This program provides a blend of animal agriculture, engineering and science, to provide students with the knowledge base essential for developing and promoting the dairy sector for the overal wellbeing of the dairy farmers as well as the growth and development of the economy. As a way of providing the students with the much needed practical hands on training, the Faculty has been equipped with state of the art facilities for research and experimentation under the guidance of expert faculties and and industry experts. Upon completing the program, the students will get to be a part of various industries and organisations through which they will learn to make impactful contributions which are needed in this field.
