About Aeronautical Engineering


The Aeronautical Engineering program is one of Parul University’s flagship programs which focuses on imparting the fundamentals of aircraft engineering and its related technical mechanics. The program is approved by AICTE and is focused on providing students with the most dynamic skill sets vital for understanding the elements of aeronautical engineering. The Faculty of Engineering offers a, Diploma and a Bachelors degree program in Aeronautical Engineering which seeks to develop the expertise of the students in line with this field. The department is equipped with 6 instructional & research laboratories which provide a worth while practical exposure in the areas of Aerodynamics, Propulsion, Aircraft Structure & Avionics. With the department’s inclination towards hands on training, the faculties are equipped with the most cutting edge technology and learning equipment  such as Subsonic Wind Tunnels, Aircraft Simulators and Mig-25 Jet Engine amongst others. Upon pursuing this program, our students are guaranteed to develop an apt understanding of aeronautics, essential for them to navigate the endless pool of career prospects in Aeronautical Engineering. Global Grand Challenges Summit-2019

Faculty of Engineering & Technology, Parul University organized the Global Grand Challenges Summit (GGCS) event from 16-18 September 2019 centred on the United Nations Sustainable Goals. The conference featured talks from reputed speakers in the various technical and non technical streams, with a focus on promoting sustainability.

In collaboration with Wroclaw University of Science and Technology (WuST), the Faculty of Engineering jointly organised the 1st International Conference on Smart Engineering. A total of 40 out of 100 papers were presented on the broad themes of Thermal Engineering, Production Engineering, Design Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Energy and Environment and others for Mechanical Engineering Track 'Smart Engineering'.

Seminar on “Latest Technology on Drones: Future Development & Applications”

GUJCOST sponsored a two day Seminar on 'Latest Technology on Drones: Future Development & Applications' organized by the Department of Aeronautical Engineering, Parul Institute of Engineering and Technology on 5th & 6th March, 2019. A total of 100 students participated and the technical session was conducted by Mr. Sailesh Chavan , CEO and Founder, Aerotech Pune on 'Design and Development of Drones' ; Mr. Harshwardhan Zala, Founder/CEO/ CTO, Aerobotics 7, Ahmedabad on 'Cutting-edge Technology for Defense & Aviation' ; Mr. Sohan Suvarna, Joint Research Scholar, IIT Powai & Monash University, Australia on 'Arial Robotics' and Dr. Abhishek Rawat, Asst Professor, IITRAM, Ahmedabad on 'Navigation and Communication system of Drones'.

Industrial Visit at AAA Aviation, Ahmedabad

As a way of providing the much needed Industrial exposure, an industrial visit was organised to AAA Aviation Ahmedabad for the students of Aeronautical Engineering. The students got to learn the various aspects of Aeronautics, Turbo Jet,Turbo Prop,Turbo Shaft and Turbo Fan Engines. Students also got to learn regarding the standard operation procedure of an aircraft.
