Eligibility Criteria

Candidate shall have passed the 12th Examination in any stream (Science/ Commerce/Arts) with English subject from a recognized board. A Design Aptitude Test (DAT) will be conducted by the University.

PU-DAT (Parul University-Design Aptitude Test) assesses creativity, reasoning and critical thinking, general knowledge, problem-solving, and design thinking. Qualifying PU-DAT marks the first step for aspiring students towards becoming future-ready designers.

Frequently Asked Questions

The DAT is a specially designed entrance test by Parul Institute of Design to assess a candidate’s creative ability, logical reasoning, and general knowledge. It helps gauge whether a student has the aptitude and passion required for the B.Des program.

The admission process involves three stages:
  1. An online Design Aptitude Test (DAT)
  2. Portfolio submission
  3. Personal Interview
Final admission is based on a composite score derived from these stages. Everything is conducted online.

The DAT typically includes a three-hour paper covering:
  • Multiple-choice questions (MCQs)
  • Subjective questions
  • Portfolio evaluation in a later stage
  • Mock tests are available to help students prepare

  • Class 10 & 12 mark sheets and certificates
  • School leaving/character certificate
  • Photograph(s)
  • Proof of address
  • Aadhar card (for self and parents)
  • Anti-ragging affidavit
  • Income affidavit (if applicable)

Yes. Scholarships are offered based on performance in the three admission rounds:
  • 90%+ score: 30% scholarship on first-year fees
  • 80-90%: 20% scholarship
  • 70-80%: 10% scholarship
