Parul Institute of Pharmacy & Research organized seminars and workshops on recent topics of pharmacy for graduate and post graduate students every year. Our pharmacy department has arranged various seminars and workshops sponsored by GUJCOST and AICTE. These include Chiral Chromatography: Challenges & Opportunities,QSAR- a novel tool for drug design, novel molecular targets of cancer and CVS disorders, Quality by Design for Better Method Development and Validation etc. Eminent speakers came to deliver lectures and demonstration from leading industries and academics around the states. Mr.BhupatVihol, Team Leader, Piramal Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Ahmedabad, Mr.CharudattMundhe, Managar, J.B. Chemicals Pvt. Ltd, Ankleshwar discussed the frontier technologies and analysis of chiral compounds.Ms.Kailashparmar research scholar, LMCP, Ahmedabad gave a hand-on practise and demonstration of various CADD softwares to the students. Professor S. J. Rajput, the M. S. University of Baroda, has discussed the various aspects of QbD.

The Seminar was inaugurated by Mr.Bhrat Desai, Managing Director, Bharat Pharmaceutical Pvt. Ltd, Vadodara and he appreciated the theme of the conference and encouraged all the delegates for the taking up research in the field of Chiral Chromatography Analysis. Mr.Bhupat Vihol, Team Leader, Piramal Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Ahmedabad and Mr.Charudatt Mundhe, Managar, J.B. Chemicals Pvt. Ltd, Ankleshwar discussed the frontier technologies and analysis of Chiral compounds with details description about various stationary Phases and mobile Phases.

AICTE sponsored seminar on “Quality by Design (QbD) for Better Method Development and Validation” on 18th-19 October 2013 was inaugurated by Dr. H. G. Koshiya, Commissioner, FDCA, Govt. of Gujarat. In this seminar, Lectures were delivered by researchers and academicians of reputed pharmaceutical industries as well as academic field. Prof. Rajesh K.S, Mr.PriteshDasare, Manager, Analytical Department, SPARC, Baroda and Professor S. J. Rajput, The M. S. University of Baroda, Vadodara. They have discussed the various aspects, general principles and key benefits and an analytical approach of QbD.
