Prof. ShantanuChakravarty has an Industrial experience is of 19 years and in academics 5 years six months. His basic qualification is BSc (Geology) & MBA (Marketing) from Birla Institute OfTechnology(BIT), MESRA, Ranchi. In industry he worked for the organizations like Bata India Ltd, Alembic Chemical, Biological E. Ltd & Elysium pharmaceuticals where he was holding senior position at corporate level. In industry tenure he could develop case study based MDPs for senior managers and executed same for the organization. In academics apart from conducting routine classes could undertake and lead industry consultancy in the areas of pharmaceutical marketing, application engineering as well as creation of assessment centre and project management. Academic paper presentation in institutes like IIM-Kozikode, BIT-Nodia, and EDI-Gandhinagar apartfrom presentation in regional management colleges. Faculty development programmes attended (Strategic Management) in IIM-Bangalore, MDI-Gurgaon (Technology & Innovation), IIT-Kharagpur (Intellectual property right) and IRMA-Anand (Pedagogy in management teaching) apart from many in regional management colleges and management associations. Presently undertaken doctoral (PhD) work in MSU, Baroda on pharmaceutical marketing. Apart from strategic marketing, entrepreneurship development is the area of interest of his research where could develop few case studies also for classroom teaching.
