Industrial Visits

Industrial visit has its own importance in a career of a student who is pursuing a professional degree. It is generally considered as a part of college curriculum, mainly seen in engineering courses. Objective of industrial visit is to provide students an insight regarding internal working of companies. With an aim to go beyond academics, industrial visit provides student a practical perspective on the world of work. It gives them exposure to current work practices as opposed to possibly theoretical knowledge being taught at college. To sum up, industrial visits synchronize the knowledge of the students with recent industrial scenario. Department had recently organized visit at Indian Engineering Company, At Village Raika, Vadodara for 5th semester students, at L & T Switch Gear Plant, Knowledge City, Vadodara for students of 7th semester, at Circuits Systems India Pvt. Ltd for 4th semester’s students and at R.T.T.C, BSNL, Gota, Ahmedabad for students of 6th semester.

Industrial Visit at MATIRX COSMEC

A visit to, “MATRIX COSMEC”, was planned for 5th semester students of EC engineering department, PIET on 7th September 2016. The main objective of the visit was to learn about switching and routing devices manufacturing its working. Matrix has a production capacity of about 10,00,000 ports per annum. The factory also houses a full-fledged technical support center spread over an area of 10,000 sq. ft., manned by engineers. The center provides immediate technical assistance to Matrix channel partners and customers during installation, operation and maintenance of the products.

Industrial Visit at Rishabh Digital Recording Studio, Gotri

A Recording studio, “ Rishabh Digital Recording Studio”, Gotri, Vadodara’s visit was planned for 5th semester students of EC engineering department, PIET on 1st and 2nd September 2016.This visit was organized and accompanying by Prof. Hardik Mewada and Prof. Mitul Patel. The main objective of the visit was to learn about real time environment for digital audio recording, its equipments and different recording softwares and its working. Mr. Digant and Mr. Divyang had explained about studio acoustics and different types of equipments like Mike, Loudspeakers, patch panel, power amplifier, sound card, Mixer etc. They had also explain about recording methodology using Steinburg Nuendo3, Sony Sound forge and AVID protools.
